Event Announcement
ACCESS 2 is pleased to announce the upcoming three-day training on gender sensitivity and interpreting for GBV survivors in Phnom Penh. This event will bring together sign language and indigenous language interpreters to enhance their understanding of gender sensitivity, develop their interpreting skills, and understand the requirements for supporting GBV survivors.
Event Overview
The workshop aims to:
- Increase participants’ understanding of gender dynamics in society, gender biases, and GBV.
- Enhance participants’ gender sensitivity, skills, and confidence in interpreting for GBV survivors.
- Familiarise participants with the ethical and professional requirements of legal interpreting for GBV survivors.
Participants
The event will bring together approximately 30 participants, including:
- Representatives from the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA)
- Strategic Implementing Partners (SIPs)
- Sign language and indigenous language interpreters
- The ACCESS 2 team
