On 4 September 2024, the Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Development Services—Phase 2 (ACCESS 2) program was proud to hand over six laptops to Legal Aid of Cambodia (LAC).
LAC is one of ACCESS 2’s Strategic Implementing Partners (SIPs) working to provide legal aid to survivors of GBV and persons with disabilities under the project named: Access to justice for women affected by GBV and persons with disabilities.
These laptops will be used by LAC to maintain a case registration database and help LAC to do better case management of their clients cases in Siem Reap, Kampong Speu and Kampong Cham. LAC provides legal advice and legal representation to survivors of GBV and persons with disabilities in criminal and civil matters in these provinces. These laptops will assist LAC to do this important work.
The Australian Government through the ACCESS 2 program continues its support focused on improving access to quality and inclusive services for persons with disabilities and survivors of GBV in Cambodia.
