Today, we spotlight Ms. Yim Sotheara, a focal person in disability coordination. As a trained pharmacist and the Deputy Director of the Provincial Health Department in Kampong Speu, and Vice Chair of the Provincial Disability Action Council, Ms. Sotheara is at the forefront of transforming health services for persons with disabilities. In her role, Ms. Sotheara diligently strengthens health services for individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. Under the Australian Government’s support through the Australia-Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Services – Phase 2 (ACCESS 2) program, the Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) serves as a critical governance mechanism. Convened every six months in ACCESS 2's three target provinces, the PCC reviews achievements, addresses challenges, mitigates risks, and provides strategic guidance to align program implementation with provincial priorities.
