On 12 November 2025, the Australia Cambodia Cooperation for Equitable Sustainable Services – Phase 2 (ACCESS 2), convened a Ways of Working meeting on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.
The workshop brought together the ACCESS 2 team, focal points from the Australian Embassy in Cambodia and a representative from Abt Global Australia. The session reaffirmed a shared commitment to open communication, mutual accountability and strong partnership across the program.
Participants reflected on what has worked well since ACCESS 2 commenced and where collaboration between the program, the Embassy and Abt Global can be further strengthened. Together they revisited the existing Ways of Working, identified areas that required clarification and agreed on practical adjustments to improve day to day coordination.
Discussions focused on how to make decision making processes clearer, how to manage risks and issues in a timely way and how to keep each other informed so that the program can respond quickly to opportunities and challenges. The group also shared examples of effective collaboration and agreed to embed these approaches more consistently across planning, implementation and reporting.
The meeting closed with a renewed commitment to continuous improvement, captured in a group photo that reflected the sense of unity and purpose in the room.
ACCESS 2 is funded by the Australian Government and is managed by Abt Global. Through stronger internal partnerships, the program is better placed to support persons with disabilities and survivors of gender-based violence in Cambodia to access quality, inclusive services and to lead safer, more empowered lives.
