Event Overview
ACCESS 2 is convening its second Steering Committee (ASC) meeting in Phnom Penh, gathering committee members and key stakeholders dedicated to advancing gender-based violence prevention, disability inclusion, and rehabilitation in Cambodia. This event will provide a forum to share progress, review ongoing challenges, and set shared priorities for the year ahead.
Objectives
- Highlight ACCESS 2 Achievements: Share major outcomes and progress achieved during Year 2 of the program.
- Reflect on Lessons Learnt: Review key lessons, ongoing risks, and challenges, and agree on mitigation actions to further strengthen delivery.
- Annual Workplan Endorsement: Facilitate endorsement of the Year 3 annual workplan (July 2025 to June 2026).
Participants
The meeting will include representatives from:
- Co-Chairs: Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia, and the Cambodian Ministry of Health (MoH)
- Core Ministries: Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY); Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA); Disability Action Council (DAC); Ministry of Interior (MoI); and National Committee for Subnational Democratic Development Secretariat (NCDDS)
- Strategic Implementing Partners: ACCESS 2 partners leading work on gender-based violence, disability, and rehabilitation
- Provincial Leadership: Chairs of Provincial Coordination Committees from four focus provinces
- Program Teams: Representatives from DFAT and the ACCESS 2 program
Expected Attendance
Around 40 participants are anticipated, ensuring strong representation from government, development partners, and implementing organisations.
