ACCESS 2 Annual Team Building: Strengthening Teamwork and Collaboration

The third annual ACCESS 2 team building retreat, held from 28 to 30 January 2026 in Kampot and Kep, brought together staff from the head office and sub national levels to strengthen collaboration, deepen engagement, and support effective delivery of program outcomes.

Team spirit and capacity strengthening

The retreat featured engaging activities designed to enhance team cohesion and reinforce key program knowledge, including:

  • reviewing ACCESS 2 goals, achievements and lessons learned
  • refresher training on Safeguarding, Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI)
  • refreshing understanding of decentralisation and sub national support mechanisms
  • encouraging teamwork and stronger collaboration to enhance program impact

Participants actively engaged in sessions delivered by key experts, contributing insights and strengthening collective learning. Interactive learning games also helped promote collaboration and strengthen team connection.

Reflections from the management team

Ms Sophia Cason, Team Leader of ACCESS 2, expressed appreciation for the team’s commitment, efforts and skills, and noted the retreat provided an opportunity to reflect on what ACCESS 2 aims to achieve and what it should continue striving for.

In closing remarks, Mr Sasha Cigljarevic, Deputy Team Leader of ACCESS 2, highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving stronger program results, and noted the retreat provided a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect as a united team moving forward.
